moving on

Infidelity. They say it’s normal. It happens in most relationships. But what can you do if it happens in yours?

How does one stay faithful to one’s partner? Is faithfulness considered in this day and age out of the run of things? Is it really hard to keep up a relationship so pure that the idea of infidelity can never break through?

“Where have I gone wrong?” You may always find the aggressed parties asking this wearisome question. And though the answer may be as appeasing as “You haven’t done anything wrong. It’s entirely your partner’s fault. Don’t blame yourself.”, it should be taken into account that in almost all cases, it takes two to tango.

So what one has to do after being “put to death” by this so-called crime of passion? It really takes a very draining and exhausting course of action. Here are some of the baby steps you may try in order to move on from that ditch you’re sunk into.

1. Pray
2. Believe in time’s healing powers.
3. Take conscious effort to defer negative thoughts.
4. Stop blaming each other.
5. Be consistent with your decision.
6. Make a supreme effort to be happy.
